Quality FDM 3D Printing

We print on a Bambu Lab A1 — a fast, precise FDM machine known for clean, consistent results and reliable detail. With automatic calibration on every job and a generous build area, it’s ideal for functional parts, prototypes, models, enclosures, jigs and custom one-off pieces.

Multi-colour and multi-material printing available (up to four filaments in a single print).

Materials We Print

PLA – Display models, prototypes, low-stress parts – Rigid, fine detail, great surface finish, easy to print

PETG – Functional & light outdoor parts – Tough, impact-resistant, good moisture and chemical resistance

TPU (flexible) – Gaskets, grips, phone cases, flexible parts – Rubber-like, bendable, abrasion-resistant

PVA / support – Complex prints with overhangs – Dissolvable/breakaway support for clean detailed geometry

Build Specifications

  • Maximum build volume: 256 × 256 × 256 mm

  • Layer resolution: from 0.08 mm (fine detail) to 0.28 mm (faster, larger parts)

  • Technology: FDM (fused deposition modelling)

  • Accepted file formats: STL, OBJ, STEP, 3MF

Need something bigger than the build area? Larger parts can be printed in sections and assembled — just send your dimensions.

What We Print

  • Functional prototypes and proof-of-concept parts

  • Replacement and discontinued components

  • Architectural and scale models

  • Props, custom products and gifts

  • Jigs, fixtures and tooling

If you can model it, we can print it — and if you can’t model it yet, we can help with that too.

How It Works

  1. Email your file. Email us your 3D file (STL, OBJ, STEP or 3MF) along with your material and colour choice and quantity.

  2. Get a quote. We review the model, recommend a material if needed, and send you a price and timeline.

  3. We print and finish. Collect from our Pinelands workshop or we’ll courier it to you anywhere in South Africa.

Don’t have a 3D model? Our team can create one for you from a sketch, photo or sample.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does 3D printing cost in Cape Town? Pricing depends on the size of the part, the material, the print time and the level of detail required. Send us your file and we’ll give you an accurate quote — there’s no charge to ask.

What file formats do you accept? We work with STL, OBJ, STEP and 3MF files. If you only have a sketch, photo or physical sample, we can model it for you.

Which material should I choose? PLA is great for display pieces and prototypes, PETG for tougher functional parts, and TPU when you need flexibility. Not sure? Tell us what the part is for and we’ll recommend the right one.

How long does a 3D print take? Turnaround depends on size, complexity and our current queue. Most jobs are completed within 2–5 working days. We’ll confirm a timeline with your quote.

Can you print large objects? Our build area is 256 × 256 × 256 mm, and parts larger than that can be printed in sections and assembled. Send us your dimensions and we’ll advise on the best approach.

Do you deliver outside Cape Town? Absolutely. Collect from our Pinelands workshop or we’ll courier your parts anywhere in South Africa.
